WEEKLY MOMENTS #2 | BLUE MOUNTAINS

THIS WEEKS MOMENTS

Our last week in Sydney was well spent, ticking of a few things from our Australia Bucket List. I’m talking surfing at Bondi Beach and swimming in the famous Bondi Icebergs pool. Besides that, we went out for some farewell drinks and prepared everything for the road trip, that we’re now already on. Surfing in Bondi was great, even though the waves weren’t that good. But as I am a bloody beginner, that was all good with me. I know that surfing isn’t as easy as it looks from my time in California and Portugal, but if I want to get better at this at some point I probably have to do a lot of push ups to get some muscles in my arms. I can tell you, my muscle were sore just from paddling out.surfing Bondi BeachThere was a new Outfit and a review of my two fave Acai Bowls in Sydney on the blog this week.Acai Bowl Naked Bowls ManlyTo end our time in Sydney appropriate we decided to go out for dinner and drinks at Bondi Icebergs and enjoy the view. As the weather was amazing this week we also checked out the pool. I saw so so many photos of Bondi Icebergs on Instagram before coming here and the view is even more impressive in real life.Bondi Icebergs Pool Bondi Icebergs ClubAnother highlight of this week was seeing at least three whales on our evening walk on the beach. It was unbelievable seeing them jump out of the water and splashing, just like that. Bondi to Bronte Coastal WalkWe started our road trip on Saturday and wanted to go easy on us and the car for the beginning, which is why we only drove to the Blue Mountains (1,5h from Sydney). It was pretty cold, but a weekend getaway in the mountains was nice. There were also lots of kangaroos on our campground and it was so funny watching them.Blue-Mountains-Three-SistersWHAT’S NEXT

Our plan is to drive to Melbourne and over the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide and back to Melbourne in the coming two weeks. If the timing really works out like that we’ll see. 😉 However, we’re super excited.

THOUGHTS

Living in the car is a little odd and we haven’t found the right place for all of our stuff, but I guess I get used to it during the next weeks. Well, I have to. I’ll try to take some pictures to finally show you our Troopy and how we decorated it.

RANDOM

As soon as you get out of a city the cell coverage gets really really bad. Or there isn’t any. So there are though times ahead for me and Stephan, as we’re kind of heavy internet users with all the socials and of course Netflix. Let’s see how we manage it. 😉
